How far along?
18 weeks today
Total weight gain/loss:
Down 11 pounds!!! That means I've gained 1 since last update! I'm not sure how, since I've been vomiting almost daily - with a streak of 4 days that ended yesterday.
Maternity clothes?
I think this is now just a yes. There are some non-maternity things I wear, but they are looser clothing.
Sleep:
Very, very tired
Best moment this fortnight:
We had our anatomy scan and all is looking good!
Have you told family and friends:
Just about everyone knows by now.
Movement:
Not as much as I like, anterior placenta.
Food cravings:
Nope. Never.
Anything making you queasy or sick:
Yeah. Almost Always.
Have you started to show yet:
Yes. I was told I was a cute pregnant lady today!
Gender prediction?
I was thinking boy, now I'm thinking girl- so I have no clue.
Happy or Moody most of the time:
Happy, but busy so stressed
Miss anything:
Not feeling sick..

17w5d- Not amnio day this time
I won't make you deal with the stress I did. There were some comments that had me feeling worried- though this is the trigger to the PTSD I have been diagnosed (twice) with (though I don't buy that label).
"Hmm was your son a big baby" no.
"Big belly there!" lol.. or wait, is that bad? kidney issue, bladder issue?
"Are you sure your 17w4d" yes, oh yes.
We spent about 45 minutes of the 1.5 hour scan trying to get a good view of the heart, and when the u/s tech left she asked me to keep the gel on because the MD will want to take a look.
eeeeeekkkkkk
After a long wait, and a lot of stressing, she (not Next Tuesday) came in and said baby looks good.. but we need to come back in a month to take a look at the heart. She reassured us that although everything looks fine, the baby is still so small she can't in good faith give an all clear. This seems reasonable to be.
We go back May 17th, exactly a month from yesterday. I'll get an extra peak at the baby, and will be 21.5 weeks!
I can't quite believe it.
So, this was the day of pregnancy with Blue Sunday that I was getting an amnio. This time, I am still guessing, girl or boy??

17W4D: Go Big of Go Home
17W4D and anatomy scan all at once, why not?
When I realized that I has scheduled this exam for the same day in pregnancy as we got the horrible odds with Blue Sunday- my heart sank.
I'm terrified.
And leaving in about 40 minutes.
Ugh.

Random Updates on Kins
Somehow my beautiful little son is 2.25! I just don't know how
this time passed so quickly.
I thought he deserved an update of his
own.
I mentioned a few times he is in Early
Intervention (sometimes called Birth to Three). He was slow to talk: 2 words at
18 months (and 1 of those words he said once and STILL hasn't said again). By 2
he more than the 50 which is considered the low end of normal- he probably had closer
to 65-70. WELL. This kid has just blossomed. He says words that I didn't know
he knew. He speaks in sentences. Real ones. Not grammatically correct but
"Mama, we go beach" is a pretty good request! "Daddy, me hungry.
I eat Cheese?" It's adorable.
When I come home he says "Hiiiii
Mama, I miss you". Is your heart a puddle? It is so cute.
He's a big boy now, 2'11' this morning.
Still 31 pounds, as he has been since his 2 year in January. He's been
lengthening, and using his baby belly fat for growth I guess -- because it's
gone :( He has a boy body.
He loves counting, he knows his numbers to
twenty. He's working his on colors. He's good with pink and purple- everything
else is Yellow. Hmm
He is very, very sweet. He is loving, he gives hugs and kisses. He
gently pats the kitties (he’s not such a fan of our dog, who occasionally*
steals his food). He tells people he loves and missed them. He also is two, so
sometimes he throws his toys- at people.
* Once a day, at least. Poor little guy. Happy old dog though.
He is starting to lost his baby words- he says train not choochoo,
he says sucker (pacifier) not this clicking noise he used to make. It’s sad.
We might be having a small surgery for the little guy. He has a “sticky
thumb” It is called trigger thumb and means his thumb gets stuck at the second
knuckle because of a tendon issue. We can pull his thumb and it releases. He
doesn’t seem pained by it, but it is bothersome. He says “uh-oh stuck!” and
comes to us to fix it. We took a trip into children’s hospital for an
appointment with an ortho (who was AWESOME). She said that at his age, there is
a good chance he would grow out of it, especially since it had “only” happened
three times. Well, in 4 days, it’s happened 3 more times. Once he fixed it
himself, so I can’t be sure it hasn’t happened more often. It is a “simple”
surgery that only requires a single, small incision into the webbing of the
thumb. It should take only minutes and he can go home right after. But, it does
require anesthesia and he will be in a big bandage fingertips to elbow for a
week to avoid infection. He can’t get it wet. I mean, he’s 2. So we will put it
off for some time, unless we can no longer get it into place (sometimes it’s so
tight you have to go to the ER)or it seems to hurt him. The doc said that
shouldn’t be the case and that there is no long term pros or cons of waiting
vs. doing it now.

Bi-weekly Pregnancy Update: Week 16
Commentary:
16 weeks, 3 days. That means my next update is during Blue Sunday's loss time. Ugh

Baby's size:
Suyra-Scott should be about the size of an avocado! I'm getting a round look, so he/she is growing!

How far along?
16 weeks and a few days. My day change is Friday and it's Monday now.
Total weight gain/loss:
Down 12 pounds!!! That means I've gained 2 since last update! I was a full 15 pounds down at my lowest. I am hoping I'll start creeping up, though I will say I'm still not eating much, I was just struggling with a BRUTAL cold and not working out for a week. I think I was hovering about 2,500 steps a day. I get 7000 steps in 45 minutes in my step class so...
Maternity clothes?
Pants, yes, for the most part. I don't need the shirts yet, but sometimes I wear them for a bit more room.
Sleep:
Very, very tired
Best moment this fortnight:
I can feel Surya-Scott moving now, and hub felt baby kick one night. That's fun!
Have you told family and friends:
Just about everyone knows by now.
Movement:
See above! It's actually the scary time of movement- it's random when I can feel and not. Still using the doppler.
Food cravings:
Nope. Never.
Anything making you queasy or sick:
Yeah. Almost Always.
I added an almost. I can eat a bit more now- still VERY little meat.
I added an almost. I can eat a bit more now- still VERY little meat.
Have you started to show yet:
I'm getting a bit round. I never felt round with Kins. I was oval shaped? Haha he was always head down and stretched out. So my belly wasn't round to the sides.
Gender prediction?
I think boy, but this is SWAG.
Happy or Moody most of the time:
I've been grumpy. I'm sick with a cold and sick with a baby and it's just miserable.
Miss anything:
Sam Summer is on tap. I never drink it until Marathon day.. a week from today. But man I miss a good, cold Sam.

Looking forward to:
Well... our anatomy scan is a week from tomorrow. Which is exciting, but stressful. By this time next week, I'll be losing my mind. I'm not sure if something you're terrified of counts a looking forward to it.
